5 Stars just aren't enough!! We wanted somethings special to do while on vacation in PCB. We were going to book a... fishing charter but it was super expensive. I asked a local for a recommendation for a sailboat cruise and Captain Anderson Barnes from Pathfinder Charters was highly recommended to us. IT WAS AMAZING!! We booked a four hour cruise and it was absolutely perfect. I would definitely consider doing the 8 hour cruise next time. The boat was beautiful and they provided champaign and a delicious charcuterie board for a small extra fee (well worth it). We will definitely be back! I can't recommend this enough!read more

My husband surprised me with a sunset sailboat charter with Captain Anderson for our anniversary and it was such a... memorable experience. We had the whole boat for our family which was great because we had several areas where we could relax like the hammock. Captain Anderson was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and shared stories with us about his travels which were very interesting. Watching him maneuver the sails was impressive. It’s obvious he is a master at his craft. I’ve been on motor boats before but sailing is a different experience. The sound of the waves and nature all around are amplified without the distracting sound of a motor, just the sound of the sails waving in the wind.We got to see dolphins and the sunset was incredible. Whenever I see a sailboat out at sea I’m always in awe. This time we were out at sea in a classic sailboat with the best view of the beaches. The sailboat charter was the highlight of our trip.read more

I took my family on a spontaneous sailing charter today and we all had a blast! Captain Anderson was fun, knowledgeable... and very personable. He taught us a little about sailing, and got everyone involved. The boat was very nice and comfortable and he was really accommodating with the cold temps. Got to see a ton of dolphins and learn about the history of the area. Highly recommend his charter. It was totally worth the money to have a big sail boat all to ourselves!read more

So I made the most important decision of my life (proposing to my girlfriend) and among the many ideas I had I finally... came to the best one which was to do it in a sailboat. After looking for some options I thought of a friend of mine that had previously used a sailboat for his rum company photoshoot and he gave path finder charters information. So I contacted Capt. Anderson and since day one it was the best and easiest to deal with. Despite the nerves and me calling him and contacting him numerous times to meet me at the dock couple times to make sure that it all went good. Him and his wife could not have done a better job had we plan it years in advance but we did it in less than a month. All I can say is hands down I will recommend them to anyone no matter the eventread more

We loved our morning breakfast sail! Captain Anderson was so willing to accommodate all of our requests for food,... drinks, day and time on short notice. All we had to do was get on the boat! The two... sailboats were perfect for our bachelorette party and they tied the boats together every-time we anchored. Did the half day sail and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. They were easy to work with and Captain... Anderson Barnes is an absolute delight. This is a 10 star review. My wife and I are newbie lake sailors and wanted to experience some salt water sailing with... the hope of having a great day and a learning experience to develop our sailing skills. Captain Anderson knocked it out of the park on both. He answered every question we had throughout the day and showed us several new skills along the way. He let us be as hands on or as hands off as we wanted and it was clear he's a very experienced sailor. The 42 ft SV Pathfinder is a beautiful boat and she was a joy to sail. I had never been sailing, it was something always on the back of mind since moving to Florida. It was the majesties of... the sea that attracted me, the history, the freedom. After meeting Captain Anderson, he immediately made me feel at ease, because being from Tennessee I had never been on open waters and wasn't sure if I would be seasick, which wasnt a problem. After a few hours of sailing, our party of five was still enchanted and we choose to have dinner while anchored, 2inch pork chops, fresh steamed veggies, some fine herbed potatoes. Sailing at night was a joy that was had to describe, I've not seen so many stars in my life, the lift and roll of being on this beautiful sailboat completely made me feel at ease, I could sailed around the world with Captain Anderson and his crew and never batted an eye. And when it was all over I had gained new friends and a longing to return again and again. I will return and I will call Pathfinder Charters soon as possible. I can not thank them enough, a magical experience.read more

Ahoy ye mateys, I’m a rusty sailor who used to own a sloop similar in size and configuration to Captain Anderson’s. My... brother and his SO joined me on my vacay in PCB. Neither had ever sailed before. I asked them to come along with me for a 4 hour cruise with Capt. A. My brother’s SO was a bit apprehensive at first but once we left the dock they were all in and loved it! It was immediately clear to all of us that Captain A clearly loved what he does. My brother learned some sailing skills, and I enjoyed my time at the helm, tacking, and just relaxing in my favorite spot, the bow. It was such a treat to be back on the water.We all enjoyed the historical tidbits of sailing as well as great local advice on places to eat. Capt A’s casual style was a delight. And the dolphins! We spotted them many times! The weather was perfect, and we ended the trip watching the sunset, and the lights in the bay come alive.If you crave a personal experience instead of being packed on a catamaran with 30 of your closest friends (not the best idea during a pandemic!), chartering with Pathfinder Charters is the way to go. Next time I’m in PCB, I’ll be contacting Captain Anderson again, and my brother will too!read more

Not only was it fun and exciting, he makes it a total learning experience! Captain Anderson Barns is a library of information when it comes to sailing. It's obvious he has spent most of his life... on the water and it is quite amazing to hear and witness his extensive knowledge and skills in action while sailing aboard his ships. I was fortunate to set sail with a friend who hosted me and some friends aboard the "Bueno Bye." I enjoyed the trip so much that I jumped at the chance to book a two-day Sailing 101 course with the captain before I returned home from vacation. I don't think I have ever had more fun enjoying a new experience as an adult! The captain is obviously always thrilled to be on the water and his excitement is infectious. I really can't think of any person making sailing more fun than Anderson does. There is nothing like sailing and the feeling you get from it. I honestly never felt like paying attention was hard to do or something I had to focus hard on. His teaching delivery is spot on and his personality when interacting with his guests and students is welcoming and completely genuine. I highly recommend Pathfinder Charters if you want to learn masterful sailing skills while feeling like a kid again. Thank you to Pathfinder Charters for making this vacation an unforgettable one!
